Award-winning wildlife photographer & bird photo-tour leader
Daniel "Diche" Mideros is an Ecuadorian wildlife photographer, filmmaker and tour leader based in Quito. He graduated in Advertising Communication from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and in 2017 left that field to follow wildlife photography full time, co-founding Photo Wildlife Tours the same year. He has since guided photography tours across four continents and more than 14 countries. In 2022 he became the first Ecuadorian to win a category (Animals in Their Environment) at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, and his documentary work has been selected for the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival.

I lead small photography-first tours built around getting each guest the shot: scouting locations in advance, reading animal behaviour, and coaching on camera settings, angles and light in the field — plus post-processing back at the lodge. As much a teacher as a guide.
