Lyferr is the species-first marketplace for wildlife photo-travel. You type a species — resplendent quetzal, scarlet macaw, harpy eagle — and you see the guides who actually find it, ranked by verified sighting rates instead of star ratings. Whether you're a traveler planning your one big trip or a guide who knows your species better than anyone, this is how it works.
Start with the species, not the map.
Most travel tools start with a place. Lyferr starts with the animal you came for. Search a species and we show the Costa Rica guides who specialize in it, each with a track record, a sighting success rate, their methodology, and availability. You can hire a guide for a single morning or book a full package.
We're deliberately not a general travel site or a multi-country itinerary builder — we run one country deep before adding the next, so the data behind every guide is real.
The Accuracy Index: verified sighting rates, not star ratings.
The most important number in wildlife travel is the one nobody used to publish: how often a guide actually delivers the species. We built it. Every sighting on Lyferr is backed by two-sided proof — the guide's geotagged, timestamped photo plus the traveler's confirmation — and cross-checked against eBird, GBIF, and iNaturalist occurrence data.
We show a confidence range, not a bare percentage, and tag every guide Verified, Reported, or Unverified. A guide who's 1-for-1 never outranks a guide who's 47-for-50.
