Guide resources
Everything you need to list well — and rank on your real record.
Listing on Lyferr is straightforward. Doing well takes a few things done right: honest proof, a clear profile, and a record that builds trip by trip. Here's how.
To do well as a Lyferr guide, build three things: a verified sighting record (geotagged, timestamped photos confirmed by travelers), a specific profile that names your species and seasons, and honest availability and pricing. Your record moves from Unverified to Reported to Verified, and grows with every trip.
Three building blocks
A strong guide profile rests on three things.
Your verified record
The species you've found, how often, and the proof behind each sighting. This is what travelers compare and what the Accuracy Index ranks.
A clear profile
Your methodology, the seasons you're strongest, the regions you cover, and what a trip with you is actually like. Specific beats polished.
Honest availability and pricing
Real dates, real terms. Travelers planning a $5,000 trip need to trust that what they see is what they get.
The Accuracy Index, in detail
How a sighting becomes Verified.
Every sighting moves through three tiers, and we always tell travelers which one applies.
- Unverified
- A claim with no proof attached yet. Shown as such, never as fact.
- Reported
- You've submitted a geotagged, timestamped photo, but the two-sided loop isn't closed yet.
- Verified
- Your proof plus the traveler's confirmation, cross-checked against eBird, GBIF, and iNaturalist occurrence data.
We also show a confidence range, not a bare percentage, so small samples stay humble. A guide who's 1-for-1 does not outrank a guide who's 47-for-50. This is the part that protects you: a lucky beginner can't out-market a proven specialist.
Practical
Your record grows with every trip. Here's how to grow it well.
Log every trip honestly
Wins and misses. An honest miss costs you less than a fake hit; the confidence range rewards consistency over time.
Capture clean proof
Geotag on, timestamp on, species clearly identifiable. Good proof verifies faster.
Close the loop
Prompt your travelers to confirm the sighting while the trip is fresh. Two-sided proof is what moves a sighting to Verified.
Specialize visibly
A deep record on five species beats a thin record on fifty.
Note the season
Tell travelers when their odds for a species are best. Honesty about timing builds trust and better-fit bookings.
What we expect
We celebrate the species and the people who know them — and we protect both.
Lyferr exists because we love this. That comes with rules. We don't allow baiting, harassment of animals, or anything that puts a shot ahead of the creature. Guides who pressure wildlife for a photo don't belong here. Respect for the wild isn't a marketing line; it's a listing requirement.
Getting started
Price for the trip travelers are actually taking.
Lyferr travelers are spending serious money and treating this as their one big trip. Price for the value of finding the species, not the lowest number you can survive on. Offer a clear range — a single morning, a half-day, a multi-day package — so travelers can choose the commitment that fits. Your first verified bookings are the hardest; once your record shows, the search does the work.
Common questions
Ready when you are.
No guide guarantees a wild animal. These are verified track records, shown to improve your odds — not to promise an outcome.
