Who we are

Lyferr is run by Lior Berman Fernández, registered as a self-employed business with the Costa Rica tax authority (Ministerio de Hacienda). Reach us through lyferr.com/contact or on WhatsApp at +506 8582-7396. When Lyferr becomes a company, these terms move to it and we will tell you by email.

What Lyferr does and does not do

Lyferr lists tours run by independent guides and operators. We do not run tours. The guide or operator is responsible for how the tour runs and for your safety on it.

Each listing is offered by the guide or operator named on it. They set the itinerary, price, group size and what is included, and they hold the licences and insurance their country requires. Lyferr publishes the listing, takes the booking and the payment on their behalf, and passes your booking details to them. Lyferr does not guarantee that you will see any animal: odds are an estimate from public sighting records and guide logs.

Bookings and payment

You reserve with a 25% deposit on lyferr.com and pay the balance before the tour, by bank transfer or SINPE, or automatically on your saved card if you choose that.

Payments are processed by Tilopay; Lyferr never sees your full card number. Prices are final and in US dollars, and Lyferr's fee is included in the guide's price, never added on top. Bookings close 24 hours before the tour starts. For private tours and trips on request, the deposit is charged only when the guide confirms your dates. If the balance is not paid by its due date, the guide may cancel the booking and the refunds page applies.

Cancellations and refunds

See the refunds and cancellations page, which is part of these terms. In short: Lyferr's fee is not refundable. Multi-day trips: the rest comes back if you cancel 6 months or more before, half of it between 6 months and 60 days, nothing in the last 60 days. Day tours: the rest comes back 7 days or more before, half between 7 days and 48 hours, nothing in the last 48 hours. Everything comes back if the guide cancels.

Reviews and content

Only travellers who booked can leave a review. We remove reviews that are fake, abusive or illegal, never because they are negative.

By posting a review or a photo you confirm it is yours and true to your experience, and you let Lyferr show it on the site and on its social channels with your first name. Guides can reply once, in public. We do not pay for reviews and we do not reorder them by rating.

Liability

The guide or operator is responsible for running the tour safely and as described. Lyferr is responsible for publishing listings accurately, handling your payment and refunds as these terms say, and helping if something goes wrong. Wildlife tours carry natural risks (weather, terrain, animals), so follow your guide's instructions and the field standard. We recommend travel insurance that covers outdoor activities. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Write to us first through the contact form and we will try to solve it within 14 days. If we cannot, the courts of San José, Costa Rica, decide, unless the consumer law of your country lets you go to the courts where you live.

Messages and conduct

All messages between you and your guide happen inside Lyferr, and phone numbers are not shared. Do not use Lyferr to arrange payment outside the platform, to post content that is false or abusive, or to ask a guide to disturb wildlife. We can suspend accounts that do.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the last change. Bookings already paid keep the terms in force on the day you booked.
