Osa Peninsula rainforest wildlife photography
Dennis A. Valverde is a wildlife photographer and naturalist guide who lives on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica — the region National Geographic called "the most biologically intense place on Earth." With over 17 years guiding in the rainforest, he runs The Osa Photography, leading wildlife photography workshops across the Osa Peninsula, the Caribbean lowlands and Costa Rica's highland quetzal territory. He is regarded as one of the country's foremost experts at photographing in rainforest conditions.
How Dennis guides
I know exactly what it takes to shoot successfully in the rainforest — low light, fast-moving subjects, dense canopy. I position guests for the shot, read animal behaviour, and coach settings and technique in the field so you come away with consistent results, not just documentary snaps.
