Sebastián Di Domenico

Sebastián Di Domenico — known as "Sebastián Dido" — is a Colombian biologist and professional wildlife photographer devoted to the biodiversity of Colombia and Ecuador. Over the past seven years his work has ranged from amphibians and reptiles, to Amazonian Indigenous communities, to the Andean bear (oso andino) populations of the páramos near Bogotá. Today he is regarded as one of the world's foremost spotters of the Andean bear, with one of the most extensive portfolios of the species — more than 80 sightings in 2024 alone. His work has been published in The Guardian, National Geographic, the Natural History Museum of London and El Espectador, among others. He leads photography tours to the Chingaza páramo (Andean bear), the Chocó Pacific, and the Eastern Llanos at Hato La Aurora in search of jaguar.
